This tutorial demonstrates how to create a sinusoidal output signal within a project. This project starts where the 0001 tutorial left off and adds a new multiple-input single-output (MISO) object to the existing project. The video show the insertion of a simple algorithm within MISO’s VSTA function can be used to control a PID’s setpoint, in order to generate a sinusoidal output signal. Setup Instructions: This application used a National Instruments USB-6008 data acquisition board. Note that any compatible board could be used as long as the DAQ board which is used is selected within the application’s tree view. The application’s channel wiring was as follows:
